Ida M. Flanders, Founder/CEO
is the founder and CEO of Bridge the Gap Learning Systems, Inc., a 501 C3 Corporation (Corporation). With over 25 years of teaching experience, she is recognized as a provider of innovative learning tools. Mrs. Flanders worked with the YWCA, Heavenly Hall, Christ of Calvary Covenant Church's Covenant Catechism Academy and its Covenant Leadership Academy & Preschool and To Our Children's Future with Health to provide many effective learning environments.

The founder's Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education allowed her to teach in many schools for the School District of Philadelphia. Her last tenure
of 7 years was in a Charter School. She also taught in schools in Chester, PA and 2 years in Williamstown, NJ. Mrs. Flanders has the distinction of teaching students older than herself and as young as 6 months of age in a preschool setting. Her Certificate inMontessori Methodology from Chestnut Hill College added to her style of preschool classroom management. (Temple University, 1979/Chestnut Hill College, 1982)

In 2001 and in 2003 Mrs. Flanders applied to the State of Pennsylvania to establish “Bridge the Gap Learning Systems Charter School.” The political climate at that time did not allow the “Special Needs” school to come into existence. During those two years, Mrs. Flanders prepared herself to be the assistant principal of the school receiving her “Master of Administration in Education from Cheyney University in 2003. She went on to create other initiatives to help special needs children.

During the corona virus crisis, the Corporation's CEO, along with the board of directors, converted most of its programs and projects into a virtual format; this, no doubt, will prove to be an asset in the Corporation's reservoir of tools to grow and return to some state of normalcy. Following her own philosophy of always being a student, she is presently a student of Evangel's Entrepreneurship Course to sharpen her business skills and improve her tactics in operating “Paradise Journey Travel” - a home based travel business she established in 2016.
